Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for the next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for April 7-12:

Kansas Craig, Anna-Jonesboro: The junior was 9-19 including 3 doubles, a triple, and 5 home runs with 13 RBIs and 11 runs scored helping the Lady Wildcats go 4-2 for the week.

Izzy Doerr, Murphysboro: The junior scored 10 goals and added an assist helping the Red Devils go 5-0 for the week. Doerr scored 4 goals in a win over A-J/Cobden.

Lucas Dunn, Nashville: The junior threw a 5-inning no-hitter striking out 14 in a win over Anna-Jonesboro. Dunn also scored a run and added 3 RBIs.

Reese Hand, Carbondale: The senior was 6-9 including 2 doubles, a triple, and a homer with 5 RBIs helping the Terriers go 3-0 for the week.

Tyjaire Kellum, Murphysboro: The senior won the 100 meters (10.78) and the 200 meters (22.65) in addition to finishing 5th in the long jump (19’ 5.25”) at the Cape Central Invitational.  

Trace Moore, Vienna: The junior was 5-10 with a double, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored helping the Eagles go 3-0 for the week. Moore was 2-4 with 5 RBIs in a win over Carmi-White Co.  

Makenzie Mowery, Johnston City: The junior was 4-8 with a double, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, 2 stolen bases, and 4 runs scored helping the Lady Indians go 2-0 for the week.

Kamaree Pollard, Mt. Vernon: The senior won the 100 meters (12.73) at the Annies Invitational then won the 100 meters (12.55), the 200 meters (25.84), the 400 meters (1:00.42) and finished 2nd in the triple jump (36’0.75”) at the Carterville Co-Ed Invitational.

Molly Robertson, Carterville: The senior won the 800 meters (2:24.42) and the 1600 meters (5:20.36) at the Marion Invitational then won the 1600 meters (5:13.68) and the 3200 meters (11:10.71) at the Carterville Co-Ed Invitational.

Breanna Thurman, Salem: The senior was 13-23 at the plate with 6 doubles, a home run, 11 RBIs, and 7 runs scored helping the Lady Wildcats go 5-1 for the week. Thurman was 4-0 in the circle, giving up 4 earned runs on 15 hits in 24 2/3 innings pitched, striking out 43 along the way.

Emma Williamson, Christ Our Rock Lutheran:  The senior was 2-0 in 3 starts allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 14 innings of work, striking out 34 along the way. Williamson fanned 21 in a 1-hit shutout of Father McGivney. She was also 5-5 at the plate with 2 home runs, 9 RBIS, and scored 3 times in a  win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.

Brody Wilt, Pinckneyville:  The junior won the long jump (21’2”) and triple jump (45’2.25”) in addition to finishing 2nd in the 200 meters (23.81) at the Du Quoin Open. Wilt then won the 100 meters (11.61) and long jump (21’2”) in addition to finishing 2nd in the high jump (5’8”) at the Pinckneyville Co-Ed Invitational.

 

James Wood, Gallatin Co.: The senior was 1-0 with 5 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings while striking out 10 in a win over Crab Orchard. Wood then went 2-2 with a pair of home runs and 5 RBIs in a win over Wayne City.
