SESSER — The Goreville Blackcats used a big fourth quarter to turn back Altamont 66-47 and earned a spot in the championship game of the 43rd Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament.
Goreville led 21-15 after one quarter, but Altamont closed within 30-28 at the half. The Indians closed within 38-37 but could not take the lead. The Blackcats extended the lead back to six after three, then outscored the Indians 19-8 in the fourth quarter.
Cole Tripp led the way for Goreville with 24 points. The Blackcats will face Waltonville Saturday night at 7:00 in the title game.
