SESSER — The Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Red Devils will lean on a physical and experienced offensive line to lead the way this season.
The Red Devils graduated a ton of talent and production from last year’s school record-tying 11-win team that advanced to the 1A state quarterfinals. That experience at line should help ease the loss of starting quarterback Colt Packer and dynamic running back Dez Malone.
Under a new IHSA rule, teams will be able to scrimmage against other teams for the first time. The Red Devils will travel to Du Quoin for a week zero scrimmage against the Indians August 23rd, a week before their season opener at home against Hamilton County.
