JONESBORO — The Anna-Jonesboro Lady Wildcats blasted four home runs to improve to 4-0 on the young season with a 10-6 win over Hamilton County.
Ariana Turner, Kansas Craig, Ruby Yates, and Jayci Needling all went deep for the Wildcats in support of freshman starting pitcher Makayla Nance, who struck out 15 for a complete game win in her high school debut in the circle.
Tinlea Webb tried to keep Hamilton County (0-2) in it. Webb homered twice including a two-run shot in the seventh to pull the Lady Foxes within 10-6, but Nance settled in to get the final two outs to end it.
Anna-Jonesboro will travel to Meridian Monday afternoon, while Hamilton County will host Wayne City.
