WEST FRANKFORT — The Sesser-Valier/Waltonville Lady Red Devils wrapped up a 3-0 week to capture the West Frankfort girls Midwinter Classic championship with a 48-42 win over Fairfield.
The Red Devils jumped out to a 9-2 lead only to watch the Lady Mules close within 13-12 by the end of the first quarter. SVW extended the lead to 21-16 by half, eventually winning by six.
Red Devils 6’1″ sophomore Zevon Zimbro was named Tournament MVP.
