BREESE — The Nashville Hornets jumped out to a big early lead and never looked back, beating McCluer out of Florissant, Missouri 67-34 in the opening game of the 63rd Mater Dei Christmas Classic.
The Hornets led 36-15 at the half and extended that lead to 61-26 after three quarters, triggering the turbo clock for the fourth quarter.
Maddox Ritzel led Nashville with 21 points.
The Hornets have now won nine in a row to improve to 9-2 on the season. Up next for Nashville will be a date with Breese Central Friday night at 8:30.
