Sophia Bechelli, West Frankfort: The junior went 3-0 with 3 falls in combined 4:28 to win the 120 pound weight class at the Marion Girls Wrestling Tournament.
Bryden Banks, Hardin Co.: The sophomore tallied 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over Carrier Mills/Stonefort and scored 35 points in 2 games for the week.
Kyla Ford, Carbondale: The junior went 3-0 with 3 falls in a combined 9:35 to win the 145 pound weight class at the Marion Girls Wrestling Tournament.
Nick Hubbard, Herrin: The senior earned medalist honors at the Southern Illinois Team challenge in Belleville knocking down 1393 pins.
David Lutchka, Carterville: The senior earned medalist honors at the Kegler Challenge in Columbia knocking down 1422 pins.
Nathaniel Marlow, Webber: The junior tallied 78 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 2 wins, including a tournament record 52 points in a win over Crab Orchard at the Conrad Allen Holiday Tournament.
Krista McBride, Goreville: The junior went 3-0 with 3 falls in a combined 3:32 to win the 190 pound weight class at the Marion Girls Wrestling Tournament.
Maddox Ritzel, Nashville: The junior tallied 56 points and grabbed 32 rebounds to help the Hornets go 2-0 for the week. Ritzel scored 31 in the win over Salem and grabbed 18 rebounds in the win over Anna-Jonesboro.
Ayva Rush, Vienna: The senior was named MVP of the City of Metropolis Tournament after averaging 17 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 steals over 3 games to lead the Lady Eagles to the championship.
Cayden Young, Harrisburg: The senior tallied 58 points to help the Bulldogs go 3-0 for the week. Young scored 27 in the win over Hardin County.
Melaina Zedalis, Mt. Vernon: The senior tallied 52 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to help the Lady Rams to a 2-0 week. Zedalis was 9-17 three-pointers for the week and discord 35 in a win over Marion.
