METROPOLIS — Behind a strong effort in net by senior goal keeper Amartez Bankhead and an early second half goal from sophomore Jeremiah Vaughn, the Murphysboro Red Devils shutout SIRR conference foe Massac County 1-0 to win the Massac County 1A Regional championship.
The Red Devils advance to their own sectional where they will face Columbia Saturday in the first semifinal.
