COLLINSVILLE — Marion rang up more than 400 yards of offense and scored six touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Chase Reynolds and the Collinsville Kahoks as the Wildcats dropped their third straight, losing a shootout 48-38.
Reynolds did it all–rushing for 174 yards and scoring three touchdowns, completing 9-14 for 110 yards passing, and even caught a 74-yard touchdown pass as the Kahoks piled up more than 500 yards of offense, including 311 yards rushing.
Rome Richardson also surpassed 100 yards rushing for Collinsville. Richardson totaled 132 yards on 20 carries and scored three touchdowns.
Callahan Roper complete 19 of 30 passes for 285 yards with three touchdowns for Marion. Roper’s favorite target was Junious Thomas, who caught six passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
Both teams are now 4-3. The Wildcats will return home next Friday night to close out South Seven play against Carbondale for Homecoming.
