CARMI — The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs showed why they were tabbed the number one team in our River Radio Sports Central preseason volleyball coaches’ poll in the decisive third set against number six Edwards County.
After splitting the first two sets, CWC rolled past the Lady Lions 25-8 in the third to win the match, the Black Diamond East opener for both teams.
The Lady Bulldogs improve 2-0 on the young season before heading to the loaded Fairfield Kickoff Classic Saturday.
Edwards Co. (0-1) will visit Mt. Carmel Thursday night.
