MARION — Marion senior Grace Roper fired a 1-under 34 to help lead the host Lady Wildcats to a 22-stroke victory at the South Seven Preview held at Kokopelli Golf Club.
Roper finished 10 shots ahead of teammate Natalie Lawler, who carded a 44 for runner up honors. Marion finished with a team score of 189.
Centralia’s Olivia Johnson (47) and Kaylee Bowdler (49) finished third and fourth individually, helping the Annies to a second place team finish.
Emmalee Kroeschen led Mt. Vernon with a 52, which was fifth individually, a shot ahead of Carbondale’s Kara Shelton. The Lady Rams took third as a team, ten strokes ahead of the Terriers.
