Terriers have high expectations

CARBONDALE — With several returning starters from last year’s 7-3 team that swept the South Seven, the Carbondale Terriers have high expectations for the upcoming football season.

Bryan Lee’s club will have a new quarterback this season as sophomore Davin Wooley takes over for Brock Bowlby who graduated. Wooley has plenty of talent around him, including senior running back Demarzion “Mozzy” Graham, who averaged 100 yards per game a year ago, along with junior wide receiver Braylon Berry.

The strength of the Terriers will be a massive offensive line, led by the coach’s son, senior Owen Lee. Lee is a 6’4″ 300-pounder who has already received offers from SIU and Murray State.

Carbondale will open the season with its annual Jackson County Bragging Rights game at home against Murphysboro August 30.
