DU QUOIN — Despite losing several key contributors to last year’s 10-1 team, the Du Quoin Indians are ready to reload in Logan Spain’s second season as head coach.
The Indians won the SIRR Mississippi championship on the way to an unbeaten regular season a year ago before falling in the second round of the playoffs at Tolono Unity.
The players say they had a great summer loaded with hard work on the field and in the weight room, with more work to do before the season opener August 30 at home against Chester. The week prior, Du Quoin will host Sesser-Valier/Waltonville in the newly allowed week zero intersquad scrimmage.
