CARTERVILLE — Senior Eli Maynor tossed a three-hit shutout to lead the Du Quoin Indians to 6-0 win over ZRC to capture the Z-R 2A Regional championship, in a game moved to John A. Logan College due to wet fields.

The Indians scored three in the first, and that turned out to be more than enough for Maynor, who struck out seven on the day. The Rend Lake signee was also on base twice and drove in a run.

Tilden Henderson had a pair of hits including a triple, drove in a run, and scored twice to lead Du Quoin’s offensive attack.
