WEST FRANKFORT — The Pinckneyville Panthers improved to 6-0 in SIRR Mississippi play with a 16-1, five-inning win at West Frankfort. That’s win number 999 in program history.
Rileigh Harris hit a two-run double, and Bella Morgan added a three-run home run as the Panthers broke open a close game with five runs in the third inning. Pinckneyville then added seven more runs in the fifth on the way to the short game victory.
Morgan and Autumn Gulley each homered and drove in four on the day. Harris drove in three, and Madison Bruns went 4-4 with 2 RBIs.
Pinckneyville improves to 12-3, 6-0 in conference play. West Frankfort falls to 9-7, 2-3 in the conference.
