CRAB ORCHARD — The Hamilton County Lady Foxes jumped out to an 8-1 lead, saw most of that lead disappear, then tacked on some insurance runs to win at Crab Orchard 12-6.
Already up 4-1 in the fourth, Kylah Parkhill led off with a home run. Four batters later, Tinlea Webb added a three-run shot to give Hamilton County (8-4) an 8-1 lead.
The Lady Trojans got a run back in the bottom of the fourth, then added four more in the fifth to pull within 8-6, but the Lady Foxes answered with back to back two-run doubles from Addison Kelley and Trinity Boyd in the sixth for some breathing room.
Webb led the Lady Foxes’ attack going 3-4 with a double, triple, and a home run, driving in four and scoring twice. Kelley had a big day as well with a pair of doubles, three runs batted in, and two runs scored.
Chelsi Miskelley led Crab Orchard (10-4), going 2-4 with a pair of RBIs.
