MURPHYSBORO — The seniors for the Murphysboro Red Devils led the way in a 73-39 Senior Night win over Wayne City.
Karmelo Abernathy led Murphysboro (20-10) with 17 points. Tucker Horstmann added 15 , AJ Boese 14, and Amartez Bankhead 13 for the Red Devils who will close the regular season at Carterville Thursday night. Murphysboro can grab a share of the SIRR Ohio with a win.
Jax Scarbrough Wayne City with 13 points. The Indians finished the regular season 8-22. They will open play in the Edwards County Regional Monday at Christ Our Rock Lutheran.
