CARTERVILLE — After falling to the .500 mark with losses at Herrin and at Benton, the Carterville Lions wrapped up a nice bounce back week with their third straight home non-conference win, beating Anna-Jonesboro 58-48.
Carterville junior guard Drew Barrington led all scorers with 20 points on the night. Colton Hawkins added 14. Aidan McFadden led the Wildcats with 13 with Noah Cavins also reaching double figures with 10.
The Lions improve to 14-11. They will travel to Harrisburg (Tuesday) and Massac County (Friday) for SIRR Ohio games before returning home Saturday to host Vandalia.
The Wildcats fall to 15-13. They will visit Du Quoin Friday and welcome Pinckneyville Saturday in SIRR Mississippi action.
