BENTON — The Benton Rangers improved to 20-3 on the season by grinding out a 50-38 non-conference win over Carterville at Rich Herrin Gym.
Isaac Billington led the Rangers with 18. Docker Tedeschi just missed a triple double with 13 point, 14 rebounds, and 9 blocks. Carterville’s Drew Barrington led all scorers with 20 points.
The Lions will be back in action with a pair of non-conference home games in the upcoming week, hosting West Frankfort Tuesday and Carbondale Friday night.
The Rangers are off until Friday night when they will host Anna-Jonesboro in an SIRR-Mississippi matchup before welcoming state-ranked El Paso/Gridley Saturday in the Rich Herrin Classic.
