CARBONDALE — Tournament MVP Amayah Doyle poured in 31 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Carterville past Massac County 61-42 in the championship game of the 44th Carbondale Mid-Winter Classic.
The Lady Lions broke open a close game by outscoring the Lady Patriots 34-18 in the second half.
Carterville sophomore point guard Khamari Jackson added 15 and was also named to the All-Tournament team.
Addy Gower led Massac County with 15. She was an All-Tournament selection. Elise Coakley added 13 for the Lady Patriots.
