BENTON — Colton Hawkins scored with :02 remaining to give the Carterville Lions a 48-46 win over Vandalia in the 5th place game at the 49th Benton Invitational Tournament.
Braden Wakey led the Lions with 10 points.
With the win, Carterville improves to 11-9 on the season. The Lions will return to action Friday night with a River to River-Ohio matchup at Herrin. They will return to Benton Saturday night for a non-conference game against the state-ranked Rangers.
