Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Saturday for the next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for December 4-December 9:

Jase Burkett, Woodlawn: The senior averaged 21.3 points, 5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4 steals helping the Lady Cardinals go 3-0 for the week.

Addy Gower, Massac Co.: The senior was named MVP of the City of Metropolis Tournament after helping the Lady Patriots go 3-0 to win the championship. Gower scored 15 points in the title game.

Gage Peterson, Waltonville: The sophomore averaged 30.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 3 blocks helping the Spartans go 2-0 for the week. Peterson scored 32 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in the win over Sandoval.

Masin Presser, Pope Co.: The senior averaged 29.7 points helping the Pirates go 2-1 for the week. Presser scored 34 points in the win over Paducah Community Christian Academy.

Ayva Rush, Vienna: The junior was named to the All-Tournament Team at the City of Metropolis Tournament after averaging 17 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6 steals helping the Lady Eagles go 2-1 for a second place finish.

Docker Tedeschi, Benton: The junior only played in 1 game for the week but made it count with his first career triple double, tallying 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 blocks in a win over Du Quoin.

Layne Tucker, Fairfield: The senior averaged 16 points helping the Mules go 2-0 for the week. Tucker accounted for 36% of his team’s scoring.

Melaina Zedalis, Mt. Vernon: The junior averaged 16.5 points and 14.5 rebounds helping the Lady Rams go 2-0 for the week. Zedalis scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a win over Centralia.
