BENTON — The Benton Rangers improved to 2-0 in the SIRR Mississippi thanks to a monster performance from junior Docker Tedeschi. Tedeschi recorded his first career triple double, finishing with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 blocks as the Rangers downed Du Quoin 70-47.
Benton jumped out to an 18-3 lead after one quarter and led 38-17 at the half, but the Indians rallied in the third quarter. Du Quoin cut the deficit to seven at one point and trailed 46-38 after three.
The Rangers outscored the Indians 24-9 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.
Isaac Billington added 19 points for Benton who improves to 7-0.
