MURPHYSBORO — Cade Brooks poured in 28 points and Karmelo Abernathy added 21 to lead the Murphysboro Red Devils to a 70-58 home win over Massac County in the SIRR Ohio opener for both team.
Kaden Shields added 10 for the Red Devils, who improve to 4-1 on the season.
Will Harmon led the Patriots with 18. Isaac Hosman added 17 for Massac County, who falls to 4-2 on the season.
Murphysboro will hit the road Tuesday night for a conference game at Herrin. The Patriots will step out of conference Saturday night to visit Marion and return to Ohio play Friday night at home against Harrisburg.
