MURPHYSBORO — The Murphysboro Red Devils are headed to the 4A quarterfinals after hanging on to beat Charleston 14-13 at Doc Bencini Field.
The Red Devils lost starting running back Tyjaire Kellum on the game’s first play when the talented junior suffered a broken arm.
Murphysboro will now hit the road to take on fellow SIRR-Ohio team, Harrisburg. The Red Devils beat the Bulldogs 40-0 at Taylor Field back in Week 7.
