PINCKNEYVILLE — The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldogs are headed to the Elite Eight after rallying to beat Black Diamond-East rival Fairfield 17-25, 25-19, 25-19 to win the Pinckneyville 2A Sectional Championship, the first sectional title in program history.
It was the Lady Bulldogs’ first win over the Lady Mules this season, having dropped the previous two meetings.
Carmi-White County now advances to the Robinson Supersectional, where the Lady Bulldogs will face Champaign St. Thomas More Friday night at 6:00, with the winner headed to State.
