Here are the nominees for October 23-28:

Abby Compton, Goreville: The senior tallied 19 kills, 5 aces, and 4 blocks in 2 wins helping the Blackcats win the Goreville 1A Regional.

Gavin Genisio, Benton: The senior earned medalist honors at the Benton 1A Sectional, winning with a time of 14:03.

JT Malawy, Nashville: The senior was 12-16 passing for 232 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Hornets’ 49-7 first round playoff win over Pana.

Dylon Nalley, Marion: The senior earned medalist honors at the Jacksonville 1A Sectional, breaking the course record by :31 with a winning time of 13:37.

Caroline Simmons, Carmi-White County: The sophomore set a school record with 30 kills in the Lady Bulldogs win over Newton in the championship match of the Lawrenceville Regional.

Blayne Sisson, Mt. Carmel: The senior passed for 130 yards and rushed 22 times for 187 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in the Aces’ 24-17 win over Benton

Paige Thies, Trico: The senior tallied 20 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks in 2 wins helping the Pioneers win the Wayne City Regional.

Camden Waller, Du Quoin: The senior completed 8-14 passing for 99 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Indians’ 28-21 first round playoff win over Monticello.
