MT. VERNON — The top-seeded Mascoutah Indians and fourth-seeded Herrin Tigers won each swept their semifinal matches and will face off in the championship match of the Mt. Vernon 3A Volleyball Regional.
The Indians beat Marion 25-15, 25-8 in the first semi. The Tigers followed with a 25-15, 25-22 win over Centralia in the second semi.
The Mascoutah/Herrin final is set for 6:00 Thursday. The winner advances to next week’s Mascoutah Sectional.
