Johnston City cruises past Hamilton County to clinch playoff spot

JOHNSTON CITY — The Johnston City Indians improved to 6-0 and clinched a playoff spot with a 58-16 win over Hamilton County on Hero Night at Ralph Davison Field.

Ben Morgan ran for two first half touchdowns, and Keaton Fort connected with Nolan Causey on a pair of long touchdown passes in the final 28.4 seconds to give the Indians a 35-0 lead at the half.

Johnston City improves to 6-0. The Indians will have a bye week in week 7 due to Vienna/Goreville not fielding a varsity team. Hamilton County falls to 3-3. The Foxes will host Flora Friday night.
