CARMI — Fairfield senior Emersyn Robbins broke her own school record for kills in a match to help the Lady Mules outlast Carmi-White County 26-24, 19-25, 25-23 in a matchup of two of the top 3 teams in our Volleyball Coaches’ Poll.
Facing four game points, the Lady Mules rattled off six straight points to take the opener 26-24.
The Lady Bulldogs bounced back to take game two 25-19, setting up a decisive game three.
With Fairfield leading 24-23 in the third, Robbins clinched the Lady Mules’ victory with her record-breaking 31st kill of the night.
The two teams will meet again October 12 in Fairfield.
