NORRIS CITY — Three of the five teams in this year’s Cathy Black Volleyball Invitational at NCOE are in the top seven in our latest Deep South Volleyball Coaches Poll.
Two went head to head on opening night as seventh ranked Hamilton County took on the second ranked host Fighting Cardinals. NCOE dropped the first set, but rallied to win it 24-26, 25-11, 15-8. The Fighting Cardinals went 2-0 on the day.
Sixth ranked Carmi-White County also went 2-0 on the opening day. The Lady Bulldogs rolled past Eldorado 25-9, 25-12 to remain unbeaten on the season.
The tourney wraps up Thursday night with five more matches.
