MURPHYSBORO –Led by dominant performances, Anna-Jonesboro’s girls and Benton’s boys won individual and team titles at the Murphysboro Cross Country Invitational.
A-J freshman Jadyn Gerardi made quite a high school debut, winning the girls’ individual title by 18 seconds with a time of 18:51. The Lady Wildcats placed all seven runners in the top 15 to cruise to the team title.
Benton senior Gavin Genisio won the boys’ side by 27 seconds with a time of 15:12. The Rangers finished with five of the top 14 runners to win the team title.
